The Gift of Failure

That doesn’t sound right does it?

It is. I will keep this brief.
The Gift of Failure
Let me explain.

You see, when you fail at something, you receive a gift. A lot of people don’t see it that way. They figure, hmm, I failed. I’m done because it’s too hard or, I can’t make it like it was or, “insert excuse here.” To a degree they’re right. It IS hard, it probably will NOT be exactly the same as it was, and that’s ok. That’s the gift.

Now you have a chance to make improvements. You get to rebuild the thing you worked so very hard to accomplish, better than it was by using the foundation of your original work. We all get done with training and say, “you know, I should have done this or, I could have done that, better.” Now you can. By not giving up, you learn. You grow. You become a better trainer, teacher, helper, student, whatever, and even a better person, because you fought to make it right. You suffered the agony of admitting you were wrong, “usually in front of your peers” and stepped up to the challenge.

Keep your head held high, and your spirits up. Earn that gift.

Live and learn. As always, -stay safe
